Arborio rice absorbs flavor and produces a creamy texture due to its high amylose (starch) content. A must for any risotto.
Named after the Piedmont town of Arborio in Northern Italy, Arborio rice originated in 1946 as a Japonica cultivar from the Vialone variety.
This rice is grown in Italy.
This Arborio Risotto Rice comes in a paper bag which we will soon replace with something reusable!
